A dear friend of mine graciously allowed me to use her as my illustrated muse this past year.
We captured the reference image on a late summer day in my living room, shuffling around and experimenting, with a focus on movement and light, vying to capture a photo that landed just right.
Drawing this piece renewed my excitement for realism as it presented new technical challenges and brought refreshing visual interest. As with all my work, I see my flaws all over it, but, unlike my other work, I sit very satisfied with the final piece.
